Let Me Show you what i cooked up!!!

I made two cards, both are masculine … The first one is Baby Announcement/ Baby Arrival card…  For this card i used 3 Ingredients Stamped Image, Die cuts and Embellishments.. This is CAS card, i made after a long time… lot of stamping with tints of blue to get a abstract look with simple layering and embellishing with my favorite enamel dots..

Here is my next card, its not a CAS but a Simple Masculine Card with BLUE!!!! For this Cards the Ingredients used are Spray, Die cuts and Embellishment..

The base is a corrugated sheet, recycled from a corrugated packaging box, added random molding paste/texture paste and painted with distress paint(Mix Broken China and tarnished brass, which was a left over when i painted some other project.. ) and later added lindy's stamp gang spray from one corner… so its have of shine , half of pastel look, jus to give a more masculine meaning.. The key and gears are sizzix bigz chipboard die cuts… added vintage photo distress paints and dry brushed silver (brushed pewter) to match the sentiments shade… 'Congrats' is American Crafts Thickers…

Your next stop is ---->

"Let your dreams take flight" Floral Card

Hi all,

This is my card made for Lulupu Challenge #18 - Load it up

I have also Made a video tutorial on making Easy Paper Gardenias, Do check it here

I have made a typical floral card. A Floral card is what I always prefer for loved ones, making my own flowers and gifting it as a card gives soo much happiness to me.

To tell about this  card, it has so many layers and embellishments,,..

The base is an inked layer, the 2nd layer of white CS is also inked. 3rd The layer is of embossed card stock and I have inked it using Distress Inks giving a double shaded look. I don't know if someone has done it, this idea just came to my mind when inking the embossed CS. I used two colors to give a gradient  shade look, where these two colors where the ones I used in the flowers. (Dried Marigold and Spun Sugar) and the last layer is the decorative diecut with the sentiment saying "Let your dreams take Flight". I used this sentiment having in mind my close friend who got engaged last week. Wish I could send this to her all the way to India.

Embellished with Handmade Gardenias, daisys, glittered flourishes , gems swirls, enamel dots and ribbons.

The Gardenias and Daisys where made with the Digital Die cut, using my KNK Zing. The Cut Design was from a anonymous user from MTC library.

Hope you liked my card.

Challenges Entered:

I have used distress ink on almost everything, in the embossed CS, flowers and ribbon

Crafters Corner - Cheers to New Beginning
I have made this card to a friend of mine who jus got engaged and gonna start a new life soon...

Catchy Challenge - Glitterfly
I have Glittered the big flower and the flourishes..

I have used Distress Glitters in the swirls and the big flower and also embossing for sentiment..

"Eat Healthy"Mixed Media Mini Canvas

Hello!!!

Here i am to share my experiment with mixed media project. I wanted to try mixed media work and i bought a mini canvas, which i taught ll be perfect for a trial.

"Eat Healthy", this is what i wanted to do as this ll be used as a fridge magnet... Yes to remind my self to stop eating junk foods and eat health... This is what my husband insist my every time when i pick a chips packet from the supermarket, he always picks fruits and healthy cereal snacks....

Now I am little conscious for my lil one inside... yes its gonna be sibling for Sushant (my son 3 1/2 years old) in another 7 months...

Let me tell a bit about the canvas...  As i dint plan anything before doing this, i jus went with the flow. This mini canvas is 4"x4" size, i gesso'ed it completely with a even coat, added some PPs (it isnt showing as told, no planning :P) and added tissue paper and gesso'ed it..- which came in some shipping box for packaging... yeah yeah i used a scrap in my project.. :P.... then the right time to embellish it.. the best glue i found is glue gun .... i added some mulberry flowers from prima , recollections and stash, some charms , resin flowers, pearls, etc... One thing i understood is if ur planning to dry your project with heat gun, do not use any plastic base embellishment, like my pearls and a plastic flourish i used started bubbling slightly , and i stopped heating it...  after all the embellishing and its set to go for a gesso .. yes i gesso'ed  it compeltely - a even layer and let it dry for a while and then spraying...

Spraying - Coloring - I was soo confused at this point, i did some experiment a night before doing sprays in plain paper, and on a gesso layer to make sure how the color looks...  I had only dylusion spray with me and i went ahead and used it ... I did a random spraying of a yellow and teal/blue colors and after it was done was badly missed a shimmer feel.... so i sprayed in some  smooch spritz gold shimmer color (i was soo soo worried if this ll work), but not bad it come out pretty well, as a first time , okay... Hope my coming works might be improved...

Thats it Done....

Must mention this, i really than mallika for guiding me how to start on and gave some useful tips ... Thank you soo much di..... :)

A Close Up...
